Dr. David Black Retires After 28 Years with LOA
David Black, MD, of Longview Orthopedic Associates retired at the end of June after 28 years of practice in the local area.
Dr. Black earned his medical degree at Tulane University before completing his orthopedic residency at the University of Utah and a hand surgery fellowship in Hartford, Connecticut. He joined Longview Orthopedic Associates in 1986.
For more than 20 years, he performed congenital hand surgeries monthly at Shriners Hospital in Portland and served as a clinical instructor in orthopedics at Oregon Health Sciences University.
"I’d like to thank my patients and the physicians and staff at Longview Ortho and St. John Medical Center for their support," Black said.
"It has been my pleasure to serve the community for the past 28 years. My well-qualified partners at Longview Orthopedic Associates will be happy to provide continuity of care for my patients. I am looking forward to having more to travel and climb."
