Dr. Kung Attends American Orthopedic Society of Sports Medicine Meeting in Seattle
Peter Kung, MD, of Longview Orthopedic Associates recently attended the American Orthopedic Society of Sports Medicine (AOSSM) annual meeting. This was a four day meeting focused on sports medicine in Seattle, Washington.
"One of the great things about this meeting is that it is research driven and not just expert opinions. There were many talks that will affect how patients are treated. Many relevant topics from arthroscopic shoulder surgery to ACL techniques were discussed," Kung said. "Going to meetings like this help keep orthopedic surgeons on the cutting edge and will enable me to provide the best possible care to my patients in the Longview area."
Dr. Kung completed his orthopedic surgery residency at the University of California at San Francisco. He then completed a sports medicine fellowship at the world-renowned Kerlan-Jobe Orthopaedic Clinic in Los Angeles.
Dr. Kung specializes in arthroscopic minimally invasive shoulder and knee procedures but provides general orthopedic services as well. He has performed thousands of arthroscopic procedures during his five-year tenure at Longview Orthopedic Associates.
