Dr. Tony Lin Joins Staff at Longview Ortho
Board-certified orthopedic surgeon Tony Lin, MD, has joined the staff at Longview Orthopedic Associates and will begin seeing patients in mid-May.
In addition to sub-specialty board certification in sports medicine, Dr. Lin’s special interests include recurrent patella dislocations, massive rotator cuff tears, knee restoration procedures, multi-ligament knee reconstructions, shoulder replacement arthroplasties, and extremity fractures.
"I moved to Salem, Oregon, after my fellowship training and grew to love the Pacific Northwest," Lin said. "The Longview area is picturesque, and I plan to take advantage of the outdoor activities that are available. Joining Longview Ortho also gives me the opportunity to work with Peter Kung, whom I met at Kerlan-Jobe."
Lin earned a bachelor’s degree at UCLA before graduating with honors from the University of Illinois at Chicago College of Medicine. He completed his orthopaedic surgery residency at the University of Hawaii at Manoa.
He then completed an orthopaedic sports medicine fellowship at the world-renowned Kerlan-Jobe Clinic in Los Angeles, where he was a member of the medical staff that treated professional athletes from the L.A. Dodgers, L.A. Lakers, L.A. Sparks, L.A. Kings, and Anaheim Ducks.From 2009 to the present, he worked at Kaiser Permanente Northwest.
His professional articles have been published in the Journal of Shoulder and Elbow Surgery, the American Journal of Sports Medicine, and the Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences. He is a member of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons, the Arthroscopy Association of North America, and the American Orthopaedic Society of Sports Medicine.
Lin enjoys snowboarding, mountain biking, basketball, weight training, and martial arts.
